I’m also bringing you two keto breakfast recipes today: the creamiest Golden Chai Latte and an easy-peasy Keto Granola Bowl.
The Golden Chai Latte is made with chai spice collagen, a mix of premium marine collagen and warming spices such as cinnamon, cardamom and turmeric. I love mixing it with almond or coconut milk in a high-speed blender for extra froth. You can also use a milk frother if you have one at home. Season with a little keto sweetener or vanilla protein powder to taste. So delicious!
Enjoy the Golden Chai Latte in the morning with breakfast, as a snack in between meals or as a bedtime drink to help you relax and sleep at night.
The Keto Granola Bowl is really easy to make too. All you need is 2 minutes and 4 ingredients: (vegan) yoghurt, MCT oil, ALL GOOD keto granola and a handful of berries. It makes a great low carb breakfast to start the day full of energy!
I’ll be back with more holiday recipes soon :)
Love,
Julie
Low Carb Breakfast Inspiration: Golden Chai Latte + Keto Granola Bowl
DIRECTIONS:
Golden Chai Latte (Keto)
- Mix your milk of choice with a bag of golden chai collagen. Add keto sweetener or vanilla protein to taste, if desired.
- Use a milk frother or high-speed blender to create a frothy chai latte. You could also lightly heat the chai latte on the stove.
Keto Granola Bowl
- Mix your yoghurt of choice with MCT oil. Top with keto granola and, if desired, a few berries.
- Want to serve this breakfast as a post-workout meal? Add a scoop of keto protein powder, two teaspoons of chia seeds and ½ cup (120 ml) unsweetened almond (or other plant-based) milk to the yoghurt. Stir well and set aside (or in the fridge) for 10 minutes so the chia seeds can absorb the milk.
- Still hungry? Increase the serving size until you’re fully satisfied.
JULIE’S TIPS & TRICKS:
- I use a tablespoon of MCT oil per person but start with 1 teaspoon if you’ve never used MCT before (your body, especially your stomach and/or your gut, will need a little time to adjust, great if you’re a bit constipated ;-)).
- There are plenty of keto friendly plant-based yoghurt alternatives on the market these days: coconut yogurt is naturally sweet and very creamy (higher in fats), almond yogurt has that nutty flavor (richer in protein than coconut) and soy yogurt is the ‘lightest’ version of the three (make sure it’s organic and GMO free). Always go for natural unsweetened yoghurt.
