Have you ever tried making a smoothie with chilled green tea? When it’s cold outside I usually drink several cups of warm green tea during the day. It comforts my tummy, improves my digestion and it helps me to focus. I always prepare an extra-large pot of tea so I can use chilled leftovers to boost the taste and nutritional value of my breakfast smoothies like this Winter Beauty Antioxidant Smoothie. It’s creamy, sweet and packed with vitamins and minerals! Thanks to the addition of avocado, it will keep you full and energized longer. Enjoy it as a quick breakfast on the go, a healthy post-workout snack or a sweet pick-me-up treat in the afternoon.

JULIE’S TIPS & TRICKS:
- This smoothie is really creamy and thick. Feel free to add more chilled tea if you prefer a thinner texture.
- Hemp seeds are an excellent source of plant-based protein and omega-3-fats. You can add them to any shake or smoothie to boost the nutritional value.
- Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae. It is packed with protein, B-vitamins and antioxidants that will help to reduce inflammation and protect you against free radicals. Great news for your skin, hair, nails and overall health!
